Jonathan L. Curry
Jonathan L. Curry is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Pathology at MD Anderson Cancer Center and the Department of Dermatology at the University of Texas Medical School, Houston, Tex, USA. He is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology and dermatopathology. Dr. Curry received his M.D. degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, Ill, USA. He completed his dermatopathology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Tex, USA. He holds several memberships including the American Society of Dermatoapthology, Collage of American Pathologist, and the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Curry was awarded the College of American Pathologist Foundation Research Scholars Award where he investigated immunopathogenesis of psoriasis. He was also a recipient of a Dermatology Foundation Research Grant to study the role of cyclin dependent kinase inhibitor p57KIP2 in nevogenesis and melanoma. His area of scientific inquiry involves the cell cycle regulation and cellular senescence in melanocytic nevi and the role of senescent-bypass mechanisms in the development of melanoma.
