Francesca Larese obtained a degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Trieste, Trieste, Italy, in 1985, with honors. In 1989, she specialized in occupational medicine and has been working as a Scientific Researcher at the Institute of Occupational Medicine in the University of Trieste, since 1990. Since 2013, she has been serving as an Associate Professor in occupational medicine. She serves as a Professor in occupational medicine at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Trieste, since 2000, and at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Udine, since 2007. In her professional field, she is conducting research in the following areas: occupational and environmental allergies and allergic contact dermatitis in different professional exposures. She is an active Member of the Triveneto Contact Dermatitis Research Group. She studied subjects exposed to the chemicals, solvents, metals, and nanoparticles. She is involved in various national and international research projects. She serves as a Referee for the following scientific journals: the Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the Toxicology and Environmental Chemistry. She has published more than 200 original papers on foreign and Italian journals.
