Aiguo Xu

Aiguo Xu serves as a Professor of physics in National Key Laboratory of Computational Physics, Institute of Applied Physics and Computational Mathematics (IAPCM), Beijing, China. He got his Ph.D. degree from China Academy of Engineering Physics in June, 1998. Then, he worked successively in Beijing Normal University (China), Seoul National University (South Korea), Bari University (Italy), and Kyoto University (Japan). From April of 2006, he began his work in IAPCM. His research interests include modeling and simulation of complex systems, especially those related to (i) shock wave and explosion physics, (ii) elasticity, plasticity and fracture, and (iii) granular materials.
