Marc Bescond

Marc Bescond received his M.S. degree in material engineering from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA), Lyon, France, in 2001, and his Ph.D. degree from the University of Provence, Marseille, France, in 2004. He then became a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Device Modeling Group of Professor A. Asenov at the University of Glasgow, Glasgow, UK. From 2005 to 2007, he was an Associate Professor in electrical engineering and physics at the Grenoble Institute of Technology (INP Grenoble, France). Since October 2007, he has been serving as a researcher at the CNRS (charg? de recherche) at the Institute of Materials Microelectronics and Nanosciences of Provence (IM2NP, Marseille, France). His research interest focuses on the modeling of nanoelectronic devices, 3D simulations of quantum transport, and band structure calculations.
