Pusan National University, Korea

Kang Hyun Park was born in Gyeongju, Korea in 1976. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2005 under the supervision of Y. K. Chung and was working on the synthesis of transition metal nanoparticles and their application in organic reactions. He did his postdoctoral work with Professor Seung Uk Son at Sungkyunkwan University from 2006 to 2007. In 2008, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Pusan National University. His research interests include the development of new transition metal-nanoparticles-catalyzed reactions. Currently, concentrating his research efforts on catalysis that is utilizing nanoparticles and organometallic compounds. In November 2010, Professor Park was awarded for TJ Park Junior Faculty Fellowship that is given to young scientists by POSCO Foundation for helping them to become world-class scientists.
