Stephen W. Homans

Steve Homans received the BA and D.Phil. degrees in biochemistry from the University of Oxford in 1974 and 1978, respectively. From 1988 to 1994, he held a lectureship position at the University of Dundee, and was a Professor of Biophysical Chemistry at the University of St. Andrews from 1994 to 1999. He is currently Professor of structural biology and Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences at the University of Leeds. His honors include the Zeneca Award from the Biochemical Society, UK, in 1998, and election to Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 1998. His research interests are focussed on the dynamics and thermodynamics of biomolecular recognition processes, and involve high resolution NMR spectroscopy, isothermal titration calorimetry, and molecular modelling.
