Siraj Ul Islam

Siraj Ul Islam received his Ph.D. degree in 2006 from GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, Pakistan. He is now a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Engineering & Technology, Pakistan. He has been actively engaged in teaching and research for the last 15 years. He has published about 60 research papers in international journals in the field of numerical analysis. He has been a Research Fellow in the UK and Slovenia and presented his papers in renowned international conferences in the UK, Europe, the USA, and Asia. His current interests include the numerical solution of boundary value problems in ordinary and partial differential equations, numerical quadrature using wavelets and hybrid functions, numerical solution of highly oscillatory integrals, application of wavelets to the numerical solution of integral and differential equations, global and local meshless methods, numerical linear algebra, obstacle boundary-value problems, asymptotic methods, and scattered data interpolation by meshless methods and wavelets. He is a Member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Computer Mathematics published by Taylor and Francis.
