Explored different new techniques to effectively isolate individual NCNCs with tailored properties. Characterized the properties of NCNCs using comprehensive microscopic and spectroscopic techniques. Performed diverse surface functionalization on NCNCs using polymers and nanoparticles. Innovated hybrid materials with corked nanocups for applications in drug delivery and energy storage. Studied the electrochemical catalytic activity of NCNCs toward oxygen reduction reaction (ORR). Investigated the remedy measures for the environmental and toxicological impact of different carbon nanomaterials using enzymatic degradation by horseradish peroxidase and myeloperoxidase. Designed novel cargo releasing paradigm using enzyme-stimulated opening of corked nanocups. Discovered highly efficient graphene hybrid materials for ORR catalyst and Surface-enhanced Raman sensing.
