Mehran Moazen graduated in mechanical engineering from University of Mazandaran, Babolsar, Iran, in 2005 and received his Ph.D. degree in medical engineering from the University of Hull, UK, in 2008. He then worked as a Consultant Engineer at the University of Hull for Smith & Nephew for about a year. In June 2009, he moved to University of Leeds, Leeds, UK, as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow investigating the biomechanics of periprosthetic femoral fracture fixation. In June 2012, he received a prestigious five-year research fellowship from Royal Academy of Engineering to investigate the biomechanics of craniosynostosis at the University of Hull.
