Shan‐Yu Su received her M.D. and D.M.S. degrees from China Medical University (CMU), Taichung, Taiwan. She completed her predoctoral internship and residency at China Medical University Hospital (CMUH), Taichung, Taiwan. She currently works as an Attending Physician at the Department of Chinese Medicine at CMUH and an Associate Professor at CMU. Her current clinical interests include treatment of gynecological and obstetric problems by Chinese medicine and also complementary treatment of Chinese medicine in breast cancer patients to reduce the side effects of operation, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Her clinical interests include treatments of gynecological and obstetric problems, side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, and obesity by Chinese medicine. Her teaching interests include diagnostic methods of Chinese medicine, oncology of Chinese medicine, and gynecology and obstetrics of Chinese medicine. As for her research interests, they include effects of Chinese medicine (herbs and acupuncture) and dietary therapy in women's health. Su has several publications in peer‐reviewed journals, including studies related to benefits of traditional Chinese postpartum care for women, usage of Chinese medicine to reduce surgery rate in patients with uterine fibroid, and pulse waveform differences within a menstrual cycle.
