Martha L. Hale

Martha L. Hale received the Ph.D. degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University, Health Sciences Division, Richmond, Va., and postdoctoral training at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Md. She has performed research in various important fields in bioterrorism defense. As a principal investigator in the Integrated Toxicology Division, USAMRIID, her research focuses on understanding biological toxin interactions with their host cells and developing therapeutics for various select agent toxins. She is a member of the American Association of Immunologists and American Society for Microbiology and has published over 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
