Hsien-Tsai Wu received the B.S. degree from the National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Nation Cheng Kung University, and the National Dr. Sun Yat-Sen University, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, in 1986, 1991, and 1996, respectively, all in electrical engineering. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Dong Hwa University, Hualien, which he joined in 2005. He is also an Instructor of Texas Instruments (TI) Asia for Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Design Workshop in TMS320C5x, TMS320C2xx, and TMS320C54xx. In National Dong Hwa University, Hualien, Taiwan, he started his career and is now the Director of TI’s Worldwide DSP University Program at the school. His teaching and research are in the areas of digital signal processing, adaptive signal processing, microprocessors’ application, and information technology in biomedicine. Dr. Wu is a Member of the IEEE and a General Member of Taiwan Society of Lipids and Atherosclerosis.
