Pércio Augusto Mardini Farias

Pércio A. M Farias holds a B.S. degree in chemistry from the Universidade Federal of Santa Maria in 1973. He then accomplished his M.S. and D.S. degree in chemistry (inorganic analytical chemistry) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1977 and 1983, respectively. He held a postdoctorate position and a Sabbatical year at New Mexico State University, USA, in 1984 and 1995, respectively. He currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He has experience as an Academic Chemistry Manager in the following research fields: development of analytical methods using essentially the cathodic adsorptive stripping voltammetry, DNA, Protein, complexes, and modified electrodes of carbon and bismuth. He serves as a Reviewer for the following journals: Analytical Chemistry, Talanta (Oxford), Microchemical Journal, Electroanalysis (New York), Polyhedron, New Chemistry, Analytical Letters, Journal of the Brazilian Chemical Society, and Analytica Chimica Acta.
