Niklas Peinecke

Niklas Peinecke is currently affiliated at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Braunschweig, Germany. His main research areas include sensor simulation, enhanced vision displays, and advanced geometric computations for collision avoidance. In 2009, he received the most cited paper award of the Computer-Aided Design journal for his manuscript on spectral shape analysis. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Leibniz University of Hannover, Hannover, Lower Saxony, Germany in the area of computational and differential geometry with summa cum laude in 2005, and a Diplom (M.S.) in mathematics with a second major in computer science and a minor in sociology from the Leibniz University of Hannover, Hannover, Lower Saxony, Germany, in 2001.
