Ahmet Aksoy obtained a B.S. degree in biology-botany from Ege University in 1990, an M.S. degree in biology-botany from Ege University in 1992, and a Ph.D. in environmental science from Bradford University, UK, in 1996. His current Research interests are among plant systematic, plant ecology, autoecology, pollution ecology, conservation biology, and medicinal plants. He served as an Assistant Professor from 1996 to 2002, an Associate Professor from 2002 to 2007, and a Professor since 2007.
