Hjalmar Rosengren was born in Halmstad, Sweden, 1972. He received his Ph.D. degree from Lund University in 1999 and the Docent degree from Chalmers University of Technology in 2004. He was a Postdoc in Delft 1999-2000 and has since then been working at Chalmers University of Technology, first as An assistant Professor and then as an Associate Professor. His main research interest is special functions and their relations to other fields such as representation theory, combinatorics, number theory, and mathematical physics.
