Jean-Pierre Corriou

Jean-Pierre Corriou is an Engineer of Ecole Centrale des Arts et Manufactures, France, 1973, Docteur d'Etat es Sciences Physiques University Paris 6, France, 1979, he was successively an Assistant Professor at Ecole Centrale des Arts et Manufactures, 1973–1979, and 1981–1983, detached as an Associate Professor to Universitary Center of Tizi-Ouzou, Algeria, 1979–1981, an Associate Professor at Ecole Centrale des Arts et Manufactures, 1983–1988, then a Professor at Ecole Nationale Superieure des Industries Chimiques, Nancy, France since 1988. His teaching concerns applied mathematics: numerical methods, optimization, statistical methods, signal processing, process control. After his Ph.D. research in hydrometallurgy, his interest has turned towards thermodynamics, then process modelling, simulation, and control. He is the author of 65 articles mainly in chemical engineering, heat transfer, and process control. He is the sole author of the book Process Control - Theory and Applications ( Springer, London, 2004), "Commande des Procédés" (2nd edition, Lavoisier, Paris, 2003). He is editor of Automatique et Procédés Chimiques - Modélisation, estimation, cristallisoirs (Hermès, Paris, 2001), Commande des Procédés Chimiques - Réacteurs et colonnes de distillation (Hermès, Paris, 2001). He is the author of Thermodynamique Chimique (Techniques de l'Ingénieur, Paris).
