Raj Senani obtained the B.S. degree in 1966 from the Lucknow University, the B.S. Eng. degree (electrical engineering) in 1971 from the HBTI, Kanpur, the M.E. degree (with honors) in 1974 from the MNREC, Allahabad, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, in 1988, from the University of Allahabad. He has been working as a Professor in ECE, at the NSIT, since 1990. Apart from having headed Divisions of ECE, Division of Manufacturing Processes and Automation Engineering, and School of Applied Sciences, he has been the Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dean of Administration, Dean of Academic, and the Director of NSIT, several times since 1990. He is currently functioning as the Head of ECE (for both NSIT and University of Delhi), Dean, Faculty of Technology, University of Delhi and Director, NSIT (since October 2008). Professor Senani has authored/coauthored 130 research papers in international journals of repute and is functioning as an Editorial Reviewer for 30 international journals including those of IEEE, USA, and IEE, UK. Professor Senani has served as the Honorary Editor of Circuits and Systems for IETE Journal of Research during 2007-2008 and, earlier, during the period from 1991 to 1995. He is currently serving as the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Research (JEEER) and as an Associate Editor for Circuits, Systems and Signal Processing, Birkhauser-Boston (since 2003). Professor Senani is a Memebr of Sigma Xi, a Senior Member of IEEE, and a Fellow of IETE and was elected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI) in 2008 for his contributions to Analog Integrated Circuits and Signal Processing and Analog VLSI circuits. His biography has been included in several editions of a number of directories of Marquis’ Who’s Who, International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, American Biographical Institute, and several others.
