Cheorl-Ho Kim has completed his Ph.D. degree at the age of 28 years from The University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, and was positioned as a Senior Scientist from Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology and Head of Genome Program during 1990–1996. During 1996–2006, he was Professor and Chairman, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, College of Oriental Medicine, Dongguk University, Gyeongju, Republic of Korea. In 2006, he was a Professor of molecular and cellular glycobiology, College of Science, Sungkyunkwan University, Seoul, Republic of Korea, leading organization of Korea, which is cooperating with the Samsung Group. He is also Professor of SAIHST: Samsung Advanced Institute for Health Sciences & Technology, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He has published more than 341 papers in reputed journals serving as an Editorial Board Member, Executive Editor, and Editor-In-Chief of the international journals. His work contributed to the mechanisms of glycan-mediated hepatitis B viral oncogenesis and invasion, sialoglycan-mediated leukemic differentiation, and vascular biology. He serves as an Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Glycobiology, Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Microbial and Biochemical Technology, Executive Editor of Journal of Glycomics and Lipidomics, Editor of eCAM, Editor of The Peer Journal and Editor of Current Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, and Editor of 10 more international journals.
