Subrata Mondal received his Ph.D. degree in polymer science from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong SAR during the period of 2002‐2006. Currently, he is working as Research and Teaching Associate at the Department of Chemical Engineering, The Petroleum Institute, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. His research has included polymeric membrane for waste water treatment, fouling resistant membrane, carbon molecular sieve membrane, polymeric biomaterial for soft tissue engineering, biopolyurethane, polymer biocomposite, and polymer nanocomposite. Based on this research and fellowship training he has received several awards and honors, such as: The University of Queensland Postdoctoral Research Fellowship 2009; Mrs. Cheung Chan You Fong Grace Scholarship 2006 as best Research Student, The Hong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong; The Hong Kong Polytechnic University’s International Postgraduate Scholarship 2002 for Ph.D. Study; National Scholarship in 1991 from Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. He is serving as an Editorial Member of several reputed journals like Journal of Membrane Science & Technology, International Journal of Chemical Engineering, International Journal of Polymer Science, Journal of Chemistry, Journal of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science & expert reviewers for journals like Journal of Membrane Science, Journal of Applied Polymer Science, Polymer Engineering and Science, European Polymer Journal, and so on. He has authored 40 referred journal articles, 4 book chapter, several conference abstracts and Coinventor of 2 USA patent. Currently, he is a Member of American Nano Society (ANS).
