Wei Xing

Wei Xing got his B.Eng., M.Eng., Ph.D. degrees from China University of Petroleum. Currently, he is a Professor at the School of Chemical Engineering, Shandong University of Technology. He is also the head of the Applied Chemistry Discipline. His research expertise is in nanoporous materials for adsorption and new energy technologies. He has co-authored more than 60 papers in refereed journals, including Energy and Environmental Science, Chemistry of Materials and Carbon (more than 600 citation times). He has filed five patents on novel energy nanomaterials. These materials are very promising for energy storage and gas adsorption, etc. He has attracted more than 2.7 million RMB in research grants from industrial partners, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shandong Province and the Shandong University of Technology. In recognition of his achievements in research, he was honored with a Distinguished Young Scientist and First award in Natural Science by Shandong Province.
