Va´clav Ve?tvic?ka, Ph.D. is a Professor at the Department of Pathology of the School of Medicine, University of Louisville, Louisville, Ky, USA. He graduated from Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. In 1984 to 1985 and in 1989 he spent 18 months in the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. He is an author of more than 160 original papers and 6 books. His major research interests include the role of procathepsin D in cancer development and the biological effects of natural immunomodulators. Dr. Ve?tvic?ka is member of editorial boards of several journals including Open Glycoscience, World Journal of Clinical Oncology, North American Journal of Medical Science, and African Journal of Biochemistry Research.
