Adam Kowalewski

Adam Kowalewski obtained the D.S. habilitation degree on April 2, 1992 from Faculty of Electrotechnics, Automatics, Computer Science and Electronics, AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow, Poland, with a thesis entitled "Optimal control problems of distributed parameter systems with boundary conditions involving time delays." He received his Ph.D. degree on July 6, 1977 from the same university, with a thesis entitled "Application of conical approximations to optimal control problems for systems described by partial differential equations of hyperbolic type,? and his M.S. degree on April 12, 1972 from the same university, where he also works as a Full Professor since 2002. His research activity includes optimal control of distributed parameter systems, calculus of variations, optimization theory, applied mathematics, mathematical modeling, computational models, numerical methods, operational research, signal analysis and processing, and neural networks.
