Ana Luisa Velasco

Ana Luisa Velasco graduated in medicine and carried out his Ph.D. degree and postdoctoral research in basic neurophysiology at the Universidad Complutense, Madrid, Spain. Velasco works as a Lecturer of epilepsy at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience of the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London, London, UK, and Honorary Clinical Fellow at the Department of Clinical Neurophysiology , King's College Hospital. His clinical work is mainly related to the surgical treatment of epilepsy and children's movement disorders. He also runs a specialist outpatient service for the treatment of epilepsy with brain stimulation. His main research interests are the development of new diagnosis and treatment techniques for epilepsy, using electrical and transcranial magnetic stimulation of the human brain. Velasco is the Codirector of the M.S. degree in epilepsy at the King's College London and has published more than 30 scientific articles.
