Ruth Huna-Baron achieved an M.D. degree. She graduated from The Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Israeli Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel (magna cum laude). She completed her residency in ophthalmology at the Goldschleger Eye Institute, Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, Israel. She did one year of fellowship in neuroophthalmology at the New York University, New York city, NY, USA. Huna-Baron returned to Israel and undertook her current position as the Head of the Neuro-Ophthalmology Clinic at the Goldschleger Eye Institute, Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer. She serves as a Lecturer at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, Israel. She is a fellow of the North American Neuro-Ophthalmological Society and serves as a Member of the editorial board of its journal, The Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology. From 2001 to 2003, she served as the Chairperson of the Israeli Neuro-Ophthalmology Society, and now she serves as the Secretary of the Israel Ophthalmological Society.
