Laurence Jouniaux
Laurence Jouniaux made studies in physics at Orsay University (Paris 11), France and defended her Ph.D. thesis in geophysics at the École Normale Supérieure de Paris, University Paris 6 in 1994. She had a postdoctoral position at MIT and joined the French National Center for the Scientific Research CNRS in 1995. She has been working for twelve years at the École Normale Supérieure de Paris and moved to the Institut de Physique du Globe de Strasbourg in 2004. She has been involved mainly in electrokinetic researches applied to earth science, specially through developing original experimental studies with over 30 articles in the field. Recently, she became involved in seismoelectromagnetics studies in order to couple the seismic methods which have a good spatial resolution to the electrical methods which are sensitive to the water content in the crust.
