Rocío Redón

Rocío Redón was born in Mexico City in 1969. In 1993, she obtained her B.S. degree in chemistry at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Obtaining her Ph.D. degree in the same university in 2002. During her Ph.D. studies, she had the opportunity of working in different Chemistry Groups around the World; in 1997 in England in Essex University and in 1998 in Oxford University with Professor J. R. Dilworth; in 1998 in Spain, with Professor Ana Albeniz at Valladolid University, and in USA at Hawaii University with Professor Craig Jensen from 1998 to 2001. Finally, she obtained a postdoctoral position in the “Laboratorio de Materiales y Nanotecnología, CCADET” in the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, where she actually works on the synthesis and characterization of nanocomposites dendrimer-noble metal nanoparticles and their catalytic applications.
