Dan Wang

Dan Wang was born in Dalian, China. He received the B.Eng. degree in industrial automation engineering from Dalian University of Technology, Dalian, China, in 1982, the M. Eng. degree in marine automation engineering from Dalian Maritime University, Dalian, China, in 1987, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical and automation engineering from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2001. From 1987 to 1998, he was a Lecturer, and later an Associate Professor (1992) at Dalian Maritime University, Dalian, China. From 2001 to 2005, he was a Research Scientist at Temasek Laboratories, National University of Singapore. Since 2006, he has been with Dalian Maritime University as a Professor at the Department of Marine Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering College. Dr. Wang’s research interests include nonlinear control theory and applications, the applications of power electronics, electric drive and automation, neural networks, adaptive control, robust control, fault detection, and isolation.
