Rosanna MANZO was born in Polla (SA) on May 6th, 1972. She obtained degree cum laude in Mathematics in 1996 and the PhD in Information Engineering in 2007 at University of Salerno. She has been a researcher assistant from 1999 at the Department of Information Engineering and Applied Mathematics, now Department of Information Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Applied Mathematics (DIEM). She is researcher in Mathematical Analysis at the Faculty of Engineering since March 1st, 2006 and she is member of DIEM. The research activity focuses on the following topics: fluid dynamic models for road networks, telecommunication networks and supply chains; optimal control for hybrid systems; variational analysis and optimization in normed Spaces; queueing systems and networks. She has been member of evaluation committees for the selection of young researchers in the scientific sectors MAT/04 and MAT/05. She participates to the realization of interesting projects, also as Project Manager and she is the coordinator of formation projects related to PON 2007-2013 projects. She taught Mathematics courses of Mathematic II, III, IV, and Mathematical Software. She is member of the PhD school in Mathematics. She is author of about 100 papers, divided in 4 book chapters, 50 international journal papers, 4 didactic books of exercises, and numerous conference papers. Dr. Manzo is member of G.N.A.M.P.A. (National Group of Mathematical Analysis, Probability and its Applications), AIRO (Italian Operational Research Society), UMI (Italian Mathematical Union). She is stable collaborator of the CEMSAC (Excellence Center on Methods and Systems for Competitive Societies), no profit center of the University of Salerno, from November 2009.
