Quanshun Luo

Quanshun Luo has had qualifications of B.S., M. Eng., and Ph.D. degrees in materials science, surface engineering, and tribology. With academic and industrial experiences since 1982, his research interests have been in the characterisation of advanced wear resistant metal alloys and PVD hard coatings, with particular interests in high resolution analysis of surface failures by utilizing the state-of-the-art characterisation techniques. His recent research interests are in atomic-scale observation of the origin of friction and wear in nanostructured super-hard coatings.
