Cristina Alcaraz is a MARIE-CURIE Postdoctoral Researcher, currently working at NICS Lab in Malaga. She visited the Royal Holloway University of London, UK (2012-2014), and was a Guest Researcher at NIST, USA, in 2011-2012. She received her Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Malaga in 2011 and finished her M.S. degree in information theory and coding, a postgraduate program from the UNED, Madrid, Spain, in 2013, and her M.S. degree in software engineering and artificial intelligence from the University of Malaga in 2007. Her research activities are mainly focused on critical information infrastructure protection (CIIP), more precisely secure monitoring of critical infrastructures, security of SCADA systems and smart grids, and the use of wireless sensor networks for protection of critical systems.
