Hugh Lefcort received the Ph.D. degree in zoology from Oregon State University, Corvallis, Ore, USA (from 1988 to 1993) and the B.A. degree in anthropology/physical anthropology from the University of Washington, Seattle, Wash, USA (from 1980 to 1985). Since September 2004, Lefcort has been a Professor at Gonzaga University, Spokane, Wash, USA and since June 2001 a Director of summer research at the same university. From September 2002 to January 2003, he was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel. His research interests are ecotoxicology, hormesis, parasites, behavioral ecology, predator/prey relations, heavy metals, and invasive plants.
