D. Jain is a Professor of medicine (cardiovascular medicine) and the Director of Nuclear Cardiology and the Director of Research, Department of Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Jain underwent medical school training at Medical College, Rohtak (India), and underwent internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship training at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh (India). He underwent training in cardiovascular research in Northwork Park Hospital and Clinical Research Center, Harrow, UK for 3.5 years. Dr. Jain was at Yale University School of Medicine for 12 years prior to moving to Drexel University in 2001. He is internationally known in the fields of nuclear cardiovascular imaging. He has conducted highly innovative research in the fields of behavioral, stress, and heart disease; doxorubicin cardiotoxicity; and molecular cardiovascular imaging. He has developed a novel technique for direct imaging of myocardial ischemia. Moreover, he has published over 110 scientific research papers, review articles, and book chapters and 2 books. He has served as an Editor of Nuclear Medicine Communications and also serves on the editorial board of several cardiology and cardiovascular imaging journals.
