Srijit Das serves as an anatomist with medical M.B.B.S. degree and postgraduation M.S. degree in anatomy. Dr. Das had worked as a Faculty Member in Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, India, and in the topmost ranked All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India, before joining UKMMC in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2007. At UKM, Dr. Das has won various awards including the best lecturer, excellence in service award, and the best researcher award (less than 5 years category) for publications. He has various research grants including FRGS grant to his credit. He has a strong passion for research and his ultimate desire is to help the research grow in the Malaysian region. To date, he has more than 270 indexed publications in Scopus and more than 150 publications in Medline database. His h-index citation score in Scopus is 9. He is the Member of the American Association of Anatomists. His research areas include clinical anatomy, antioxidants, herbal medicine, diabetes, and atherosclerosis, and recently he has started stem cell therapy research. Dr. Das serves as an Editor for the Internet Journal of Plant and Herbal Medicine (USA), External Editor for Mc Gill Journal of Medicine (Canada), Guest Editor for Hindawi Publishing Corporation, Asian Editor of New Iraqi Journal of Medicine (Iraq), and Associate Editor for UKMMC based Journal of Surgical Academia, besides being an International Advisory Board Member for Surgical and Radiologic Anatomy (France), Journal of Nephrology and Renovascular Sciences (USA), ASEAN Journal of Psychiatry (Malaysia), and International Journal of Morphology (Chile). He is a reviewer for at least 25 international medical journals and a Member of the World Association of Medical Editors (UK). Dr. Das motivates the youth to do active research and publish papers. He has been a speaker and facilitator at various meetings and conferences at various parts of the world.
