Garry M. Walsh
Dr Walsh is Reader (Associate Professor) in Inflammation & Immunity and Principal Investigator, of the Asthmatic & Allergic Inflammation Group, Division of Applied Medicine, University of Aberdeen and honorary Professor of Inflammation & Immunity, School of Medicine, Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland. His major research interests involve elucidation of the molecular mechanisms controlling the initiation and resolution of the inflammatory processes underlying asthma, COPD and allergic disease. Dr Walsh is the Founding Editor-in-Chief of "Therapeutics and Clinical Risk Management", "Journal of Cell Death" and "Clinical Medicine - Therapeutics". He is also an Editorial Board Member of Clinical and Experimental Allergy, International Journal of Biomedical Science, Biologics: targets and therapy, The Open Immunology Journal, The Open Inflammation Journal, The Open Allergy Journal and the Journal of Organ Dysfunction. Dr Walsh has published over fifty-five peer-reviewed articles in international journals together with more than fifty invited editorials, reviews and book chapters.
