Kenji Hirakuri is the Vice Dean at the School of Engineering, Tokyo Denki University, Japan, which consists of 4 departments of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Green Sustainable Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, and lnformation and Communication Engineering. Since 1995, he has been a Professor at the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering in the School of Science and Engineering, Tokyo Denki University. From 1995 to 1996, he was a Guest Professor at the Institute of Analysis Chemistry in Vienna Institute of Technology, Austria. He was a Board Member of IEEE Region 10 as a Secretary from 2005 to 2006. In the period 1990-2011, he has worked on diamond-like carbon (DLC) film and silicon nanocrystal (Si-NC) fabrication for electronics, mechanics, and medical fields. His current research interest is in the medical properties of DLC films and Si-NC particles for the medical application. He holds a Doctor degree (1990) in electrical engineering from Tokyo Denki University, Japan.
