Fadi F. Attiyeh
Fadi F. Attiyeh, Ph.D., M.D., works as a Surgical Oncologist who is board certified in general surgery and colon and rectal surgery. He did his fellowship in surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. His areas of interest include colorectal cancer. He has extensive experience in the treatment of rectal cancer, with emphasis on total mesorectal excision with preservation of sphincteric, sexual, and urinary functions. His other interests are in the surgical management of benign and malignant diseases of the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, and pancreas. He has a large experience in the treatment of liver metastases and in Whipple's resections. He serves as the Chief of the Hepatobiliary/Pancreatic Service at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center and as a Clinical Professor of surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He was elected as the President of the New York Surgical Society (2006-2007) and as the President of the New York Cancer Society (2007-2008).
