Stephen L. Atkin

Stephen L. Atkin serves as a Professor of diabetes, endocrinology, and metabolism at Hull York Medical School and Michael White Diabetes Centre. He received his B.S. and M.B. degrees at Newcastle university and Ph.D. degree at University of Liverpool. Dr. Atkin research interests include insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome (such as PCOS), pathogenesis of human pituitary adenomas, steroidogenesis and angiogeneic factors, and somatostatin receptors and their mechanisms.
