Jiafu Long, following undergraduate studies in Nankai University, Tianjin, China, received his Ph.D. degree in 2004 for work on the supramodular nature of neuronal scaffolding proteins in Mingjie Zhang’s lab, Hong Kong, and he carried out postdoctoral research in the same lab for three years. Then, he started independent research at Nankai University in 2007 as a Full Professor. The research in professor Long’s lab focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of protein complex assemblies involved in epigenetics and cell polarity and structure-based protein engineering for cancer therapy application.
