Ioannis Andreadis received a Diploma from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH), Greece, in 1983, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology, UK, in 1985 and 1989, respectively. His research interests are mainly electronic systems design, intelligent systems, and machine vision. In these areas, he has published about 200 publications in book chapters, international journals, and conferences, and he received many awards. He joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, DUTH, as a Professor in 1993. He is a Member of Program of Technical Committees of premier Conferences such as ICIP and ICASSP. He is a Member of the Board of Governors of the European Commission Joint Research Center and a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, London, UK. He serves as an Associate Editor of the Pattern Recognition Journal since 1996 and as a Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece since 1983.
