Masao Ichinose

Masao Ichinose received the Ph.D. degree, in 1989, from the University of Tokyo. From 1977 to 1979, he was a resident at University of Tokyo Hospital. He served as a Staff Physician, Tokyo Teishin Hospital in 1980. From 1980 to 1990, he worked as a Staff Physician, University of Tokyo Hospital. Since 1990, he became an Assistant Professor, First Department of Internal Medicine, University of Tokyo. Since 1996, he serves as a Senior Medical Adviser, Ministry of Education, Science and Sports. In 1998, he worked as a Lecturer, Department of Internal Medicine, the university of Tokyo. June 2000, he works as a Professor, 2nd Department of Internal Medicine, Wakayama Medical University. He was awarded the Pathology and Metabolism Association Award in 1982 and in 1984 and the Japanese Society of Gastroenterology Award in 1989. He is affiliated with the following academic societies: the Japanese Society of Gastroenterology (Councilor), the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine (Councilor), the Japanese Cancer association (councilor), the Japanese Society of Gastroenterological Mass Survey (Director), the Japanese Society of Neurogastroenterology (Director), the Japanese Society of Digestion and Absorption (Director), and the Japanese Society of Gastroenterological Endoscopy (Director). He is a Member of the editorial boards of the following journals and societies: Digestive Endoscopy, Journal of Gastroenterology (1997-2006), The Japanese Society of Gastroenterological Mass Survey (2001-2003), The Japanese Society of Internal Medicine (2002-2007), Journal of Japan Gastroenterological Forum, Clinical Journal of Internal Medicine, Review of Gastroenterology and Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Clinical Journal of Gastroenterology, and Gastroenterological Endoscopy.
