Professor Visith Thongboonkerd’s areas of expertise include “renal and urinary proteomics”, “internal medicine”, and “nephrology”. He is quite familiar with the analysis of plasma/serum, urine, peritoneal dialysate fluid, etc.. Additionally, he has edited a number of referenced books; including, “Proteomics in nephrology” (Karger; 2004); “Proteomics of human body fluids: principles, methods and applications” (Springer-Humana Press; 2007); “Proteomics in nephrology: towards clinical applications” (Karger; 2008); and “Renal and urinary proteomics: methods and protocols” (Wiley-Blackwell; 2009). Furthermore, he has contributed to the scientific community as an editorial board or editorial advisory panel of Proteomics, Proteomics Clinical Applications, Clinical Science, Current Analytical Chemistry, Genome Medicine, and others.
