Ivan Moreno

Ivan Moreno received his B.S. degree in physical engineering from the Technological Institute of Monterrey, Monterrey, NL, Mexico, in 1998, and the Ph.D. degree in optical sciences from the Centro de Investigaciones en Optica in Mexico, Leon, GTO, Mexico, in 2003. In the same year he became a Titular Researcher and Educator in the Physics Faculty of the University of Zacatecas in Zacatecas, ZAC, Mexico. Dr. Moreno has served as a Visiting Scholar at the National Central University in Taiwan several times. He has authored scientific articles in the areas of solid state lighting, illumination, color, optical design, applied optics, thin film filters, and interferometry. He is an Active Member of the Optical Society of America (OSA), Mexican Physical Society (SMF), Mexican Academy of Optics (AMO), and the International Society for Optical Engineering (SPIE). Currently, his research interests cover illumination with LEDs, optical instrumentation, color science, nonimaging optics, and human vision.
