Etsuo Chihara

Etsuo Chihara Sensho-kai Eye Institute Etsuo Chihara was born in Okayama Prefecture Japan in 1949. He received M.D. degree in 1974 and the Ph.D. degree from Kyoto University in 1982. After his residency at Kyoto University, he was an instructor of Ophthalmology at Kyoto University from 1997 to 1986, assistant professor of Ophthalmology at Miyazaki University from 1986 to 1989, assistant professor of Kyoto University from 1989 to 1992 and vice chairman of Ophthalmology a Kyoto University from 1992 to 1993. Thereafter he is a director of Sensho-kai Eye Institute until now. Also he is now a council of Japan Glaucoma Association since 1990, associated professor of Shimane University since 2005, vice president of Kyoto Ophthalmologist association since 2006, board of Japan ophthalmologist association since 2007, and the president of Japanese tube surgeon’s group since 2010. He was interested in glaucoma and published 75 peer review papers until 2011.
