Muhammed Olawale Hakeem Amuda
M.O.H Amuda holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria and Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria in 1999 and 1995 respectively. He is a COREN registered engineer, member, American Welding Society, member, Nigeria Society of Engineers and member, many other professional bodies. He had a brief stint with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation as a pupil engineer and was a research officer with the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute, Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria between 1997 and 2000 and joined the services of the University of Lagos in 2000 as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering. He has taught several courses at the undergraduate level ranging from Physical Metallurgy, Material Processing and Foundry Technology to Crystallography. He had equally held several administrative responsibilities not limited to Departmental Exam Officer 2000-2004, Student Industrial Scheme Coordinator, 2004-2007, Secretary, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Undergraduate Curriculum Review Committee, 2004, Departmental Admission Officer 2006-7 and Faculty Examination Officer, Faculty of Engineering, 2007. He has appreciable number of publications in learned conferences, journals and book of abstracts. He is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Manufacturing and Materials Engineering, International Islamic University Malaysia. His research interest include characterization of microstructural features of ferritic stainless steel welds, hybrid scheme for prediction of microstructural features of ferritic stainless steel weld, computation weld mechanics and artificial intelligence in modeling of weld phenomena.
