Hans Matsson

Hans Matsson has a Ph.D. degree. He currently works as a full-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Biosciences and Nutrition, Karolinska Institutet, Solna, Sweden since 2010. His main duties include the identification of variants in candidate genes for developmental dyslexia, working memory, and attention; analysis of protein levels and protein complexes in cellular models; next-generation sequencing approaches. He held a Postdoc Position in the Department of Biosciences and Nutrition at Karolinska Institutet. From 2006 to 2009, he served as a Scientist in the Department of Genetics and Pathology, Unit of Clinical Molecular Genetics, Uppsala University. From 2004 to 2005, He got his D.M.S. degree, with a thesis entitled “Studies of the Ribosomal Protein S19 in Erythropoiesis,” from the Faculty of Medicine, Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden. His areas of expertise include next generation sequencing, study designs, protein-protein interactions, complex disease genetics, genetics, molecular biology, and biochemistry.
