Hidekuni Takao

Hidekuni Takao was born in Kagawa, Japan, in 1970. He received his B.E. and M.E. degrees in electrical and electronic engineering in 1993, 1995, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in electronic and information engineering in 1998, all from Toyohashi University of Technology, Aichi, Japan. He worked as a Research Fellow (PD) at the Japan Society of Promotion of Science JSPS in 1998. He joined the Faculty of Toyohashi University of Technology, Japan, as an Assistant Professor in 1999, and he was promoted to an Associate Professor in 2005. Since 2009, he serves as the Deputy Director and as an Associate Professor of the Micro-nanostructure Device Integrated Research Center in Kagawa University, Japan. He is currently working on various CMOS/MEMS integration technology and high performance silicon integrated micro sensors and actuators including tactile imager devices. He was awarded the Commendation for Science and Technology by the Japanese Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology and The Young Scientists' Prize in 2008.
