Ana Lucia Ramalho Mercê

Graduated in Chemical Engineering from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), MSc in Organic Chemistry, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and with a PhD in Chemistry (Inorganic Analytical Chemistry) from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC - Rio). Has been awarded two post-doctorate scholarships, one in Analytical Thermochemistry at The University of Oklahoma by the University of Oklahoma (USA, 1996) and the other by The National Research Council - CNPq - in Supramolecular Chemistry of Drugs at Université D'Angers (France, 2006-2007). Associate Professor at the Federal University of Paraná since 1993, has been working and lecturing in the area of Bioinorganic and Environmental Analytical Chemistry, with emphasis on New Biomaterials, Coordination Chemistry of Molecular and Supramolecular Remediation of Metal Ions with Biopolymers, and with many Analytical Techniques. Presently is the main editor of the series "Molecular and Supramolecular Bioinorganic Chemistry: Applications in Medical and Environmental Sciences", presently in Volume 3, by Nova Publishers Editors, New York, USA. Many times awarded Professor by the students of the discipline "Analytical Chemistry" at UFPR.
