David H. Covarrubias-Rosales

David H. Covarrubias-Rosales obtained his Ph.D. degree in telecommunications from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Barcelona, Spain (October 1999). He served as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Scientific Research and Higher Education of Ensenada (CICESE), Baja California, Mexico, since 1985. In the past 14 years, he has investigated cellular mobile communications, providing state of the art in the areas of synthesis array antennas, source localization algorithms, and space-time precoders. He currently works at the Technology Platform 3GPP LTE-B Group that regulates the development and regulation of cellular mobile communications generation. This experience has generated 28 publications in indexed journals of high impact factor, 20 publications in refereed journals, and 23 nonindexed publications in international conferences. He has supervised 42 M.S. degree theses and 6 Ph.D. degree theses. He is Current Member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) level 2 and he has been responsible for more than 20 research projects and he is actively involved in the creation, development, and consolidation of research groups in the area of telecommunications in Mexico.
