Cinzia Domenicotti was born in Novi Ligure (AL) on 19th October 1962. In 1986 she achieved the Biology degree. In 1992 she spent a period of study and research in the “Department of Biology and Biochemistry” at Brunel University, Uxbridge, London. In november 1992 she became university researcher of Medicine and Surgery faculty, University of Genoa. In 1993 she achieved PhD title in “Experimental and Molecular Biology” In 1995 she achieved specialization degree in “Clinical Pathology” In 1995 she became a confirmed researcher of Medicine and Surgery faculty (MED04) , University of Genoa. In 2006 she resulted qualified for associate professor position (MED/04). Since 1st november 2010 she is associate professor of General Pathology (MED04). Since january 15, 2011 she is associate professor of General Pathology in the Faculty of Pharmacological Sciences. SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY General target: role of oxidative stress in the molecular mechanisms triggering regressive and progressive diseases. Teaching activity Teacher of General Pathology in many Degree courses and Specialisation schools of Medicine and Surgery, University of Genoa since 1996. Tutor of students in PhD courses and Specialisation Schools. Prizes obtained: 2002: "The Taylor and Francis' Award in Biogerontology", "3rd European Congress of Biogerontology", Montecatini Terme, Italy 2004: "Hermann Esterbauer Young Investigator Award 2004", 2nd International Meeting "4-hydroxynonenal and other lipid peroxidation products", Berlin, Germany Papers on International Journals: 57 Papers on National Journals: 10 Articles on books: 10 Abstract at International and Italian Congresses:108 Citations ISI Web of Science: 695 Hirsh index: 15
